What does it cost?
₹99 a month, or ₹999 a year, which saves 16%. Your first 3 months are free, and we tell you before they end; there is no automatic charge. Fair use terms apply.
Does Tenowa collect the rent?
No. Rent reaches you as it always has. Tenowa records it, and tenants can report a payment with its reference for you to confirm.
Does it send WhatsApp reminders?
Yes. Tenowa sends rent reminders by email and WhatsApp to tenants who owe, before and after the due day, and tells you who is still unpaid. You can also send a tenant their bill on WhatsApp in one tap. Reminders can be turned off.
Can my property manager use it?
Yes. Add them as a property manager and they collect and manage rent without touching your settings or expenses.
Can I track building expenses like salaries and repairs?
Yes. Record staff salaries (watchman, housekeeping), maintenance and repairs, painting, common electricity and water, society charges, property tax, insurance, lift AMC, pest control, internet and CCTV, or any other cost, by building and month. Monthly items carry forward in one tap, and you see rent received less expenses. Expenses are visible to owners only.
Does Tenowa handle TDS on rent?
Yes. If a tenant deducts TDS from the rent, enter the rate they deduct. Tenowa works it out on the rent alone, expects the rent less TDS from the tenant, and totals the TDS in Reports so you can match it against Form 26AS.
Can it work out electricity and water from meter readings?
Yes. Enter this month’s reading and Tenowa works out the units used times the rate per unit and adds it to that month’s rent. Last month’s closing reading and rate carry forward. Maintenance, parking and other charges can be a flat amount.
Does Tenowa work in Hindi, Telugu or other Indian languages?
Yes. The app, its emails and its WhatsApp messages work in English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali and Malayalam. Everyone picks their own language, and each tenant can get their reminders in theirs.
Do tenants have to sign up?
No. You give a tenant a login only if you want them to see their tenancy and report payments. Many landlords keep the books alone.
What about a tenant who moves in or out mid-month?
Keep the real dates. On the tenant, enter the agreed rent for the first month, and for the last month when they leave; that month then expects exactly that amount, and every other month expects the full rent. Tenowa does not work the partial amount out for you yet; you enter what you agreed.
What happens after the free 3 months if I do not pay?
Continue on Free with two rental units. If you have more, choose which two stay editable. Other records and uploaded documents stay readable, including Personal Finances. Automatic reminders, bill links and manager access stop until you subscribe. Nothing is deleted.
Can I cancel a yearly plan?
Yes. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the year you have paid for runs to its end. Prices are in rupees in India and dollars elsewhere; taxes, where they apply, are shown before you pay.
Can I leave and take my records?
Yes. CSV downloads are included during your trial and subscription. On Free, contact support@tenowa.app for a full copy before closing your account. Your uploaded documents remain available to download.
